Welcome to the new Open Innovation Hub

At Fujifilm, we are continuously innovating and creating new technologies, products and services that inspire and excite people everywhere. Our goal is to empower the potential and expand the horizons of tomorrow’s businesses and lifestyles.

The Open Innovation Hub, opened in July 2022 at Fujifilm Europe’s headquarters in Ratingen, Germany, is a place where different stakeholders, like customers, prospects, universities, creators and opinion makers can interact with Fujifilm to co-create new value by combining state-of-the-art core technologies developed by Fujifilm that are based on its expertise on photosensitive materials and ongoing projects with your needs and ideas. Visitors get acquainted with Fujifilm’s history, business transformation and diversification and learn more about our core technologies that is used in a broad area of applications.

Under the CSR Plan “Sustainable Value Plan 2030 (SVP2030),” the Fujifilm Group aims to contribute globally to solving social issues through its business activities. The Open Innovation Hub is an open innovation base that aims to solve social issues and to “co-create new values,” while experiencing related technologies and visions under the four themes of Environment, Health, Daily Life and Work Style, which are positioned as priority areas in SVP2030.

We utilize “open innovation” methods to boost our innovation activities. We co-create new solutions with partners, and are looking for opportunities to acquire technologies and businesses with our investment, either through M&A or small investments in start-ups. To foster these open innovation approaches, we provide our visitors with facilities for inspiration, discussions and brainstorming.

Consequently, expectations towards projectors and their features are changing.

Graphic Systems on the Fast Lane

The last couple of weeks, have been very exciting and interesting for our Graphic Systems business domain.

For Fujifilm’s Graphic Systems department, the fiscal year 2021-2022 was its best ever for Jet Press sales globally. The early success of its newly launched Revoria range in selected European territories further enhances its growing credentials as a market leader in commercial digital print. More than 50 new Jet Press installations globally in 2021-22 – 14 of them in Europe – contributed to the company’s success.

Developing partnerships with local dealerships has been crucial to our sales strategy to date, and we’ve been working with some of the most well-connected and knowledgeable organizations in the industry to help us to reach the right customers. In turn, we’re offering them a hugely attractive product for their portfolios.

Toshi’s Guests: Ana Douglas

Video

Welcome to the interview series ‘Toshi’s Guest’ where Toshi Iida, President and Managing Director of Fujifilm Europe, welcomes different guests from the company. He meets and interviews interesting women through Fujifilm Europe while learning about their soft skills, goals, and roles as professionals and leaders and as mothers and as women.

Today in the spotlight: Ana Douglas, Marketing and Communication Manager for Fujifilm Healthcare Europe, who is based in Den Haag in the Netherlands.

It’s important to understand the way people think and what makes them thrive.

Ana Douglas

During her varied day, Ana sees herself as a connector, by establishing good relationships and collaborating with the country teams, and with product divisions, to make activities cohesive and outstanding. Keeping up with the trends inside and outside of Fujifilm and looking for opportunities to communicate the brand in a unique way is what keeps her going.

Here it is helpful to bring a huge dose of resilience, empathy and respect for everyone’s opinions.

Besides a full-time job and constant education to keep her skills up to date, she is a mother of a 7-year-old girl and has three dogs. The key to balancing all these things in her professional and private life is for her: Time management.
