Triple win at EDP Awards 2024

We are celebrating a remarkable success at the prestigious EDP Awards 2024, getting three major awards with our products. The European Digital Press Association hosted this year’s awards ceremony on the evening of May 29, in the drupa Cube, Hall 6, in Düsseldorf, recognising excellence in the digital printing, publishing, and packaging industries.

The star of the evening was the Jet Press FP790, our innovative digital press for flexible packaging, that took home two highly coveted titles: Best Flexible Packaging Press and Best Digital Press. Offering unparalleled flexibility, superior quality, and cutting-edge technology, this machine has set a new benchmark for the flexible packaging industry. This achievement comes on the heels of the successful signing of four new European customers for the Jet Press FP790 at drupa 2024.

Our 42K and 46kUV print bars also shined bright, taking the Best Special Printing Solutions award. These print bars were praised for their high uptime, productivity, and quality, demonstrating the unrivalled capabilities for integrated printing solutions.

Established in 2007, the EDP Awards are regarded as the most prestigious technical awards in the digital printing industry. With an audience of over half a million readers, the awards recognise the best products and technologies that have made a significant contribution to the industry.

16 Fujifilm products took the Red Dot Design Award 2024

The year has just started, and we’ve already hit a home run at the Red Dot Design Award 2024. All 16 products that we submitted have won international acclaim in the Product Design category! Each entry has been recognized for its beautiful appearance and design achieving outstanding functionality and performance by a panel of world-known design experts. More to the story, our INSTAX mini Evo™ Brown has received the highest-ranked “Best of the Best Award”.

INSTAX mini Evo™ Brown: Best of the Best Award

Released in 2021, this hybrid instant camera has been a global sensation since its launch due to its hybrid nature of analogue and digital functions. It incorporates digital technology and supports the card-size “mini format film”. The camera comes with 10 lens effects, including Soft Focus and Light Leak, and 10 film effects, including Monochrome and Retro. These two types of effects can be freely combined to create 100 different shooting effects, allowing you to express your emotions in a unique way. Digital Camera INSTAX Pal

Mirrorless digital camera FUJIFILM X-S20

The design is based on the award-winning Acuity Prime, including the printhead carriage, ink system, Automatic Printhead Maintenance System (APMS), and software interface. From its user-friendly GUI, to accessible printheads for ease of maintenance, this machine is extremely intuitive and designed with an operator in mind.

GFX100 II in a Spotlight

The FUJIFILM GFX100 II stands out as a true marvel among the impressive range. Not only did it win an iF Design Award, but it also received the highest honour, the iF Gold Award 2024, for its 12-megapixel high-speed sensor and state-of-the-art image processing engine.

Fujifilm Takes the Top Award at the British Book Design & Production Awards

They say: “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. However, who could deny there’s a certain joy in holding a well-printed one, with high-quality sheets and vibrant colors, crafted with precision and commitment to quality. Print aesthetics play an important role in shaping our initial perceptions and, indeed, influencing our reading experience.

Last week, on January 24th, the BPIF once again celebrated the achievements of the print industry, highlighting the most remarkable examples of quality and creativity at the British Book Design and Production (BBD&P) Awards. Themed ‘Storytellers’, the event gathered around 200 guests at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London, presenting the best in British book production across 18 categories – from design to sustainability. And we were proud to be a part of it, showcasing the excellence of our cutting-edge printing technologies.

This year, we took the top award in the Trade Illustrated category, with the book “Realise Your Vision”. Designed by Milestone Creative and printed by a true printing mastermind Henning Rose (Wegner GmbH), it tells a story of our journey from the 1930s roots to becoming a print industry leader, combining customer stories, product details, and historical milestones, demonstrating precision and quality provided by the leading digital print technology.

Beyond Pages

The book has been printed using our two different presses – the Jet Press 750S and the Revoria Press PC1120 – presenting the wide color gamut of the machines. The Revoria Press PC1120, with its six-color palette, including metallics and pinks, was used to print the complex book jacket details, while the Jet Press 750S showcased its wide color gamut, accurately reproducing spot colors and vibrant images.

Emmerson Press Triumphs at Digital Printer Awards with the JetPress 750S

In a dazzling triumph at the recent Digital Printer Awards on November 22, Emmerson Press got the Inkjet In Commercial Print award with their extraordinary “Another Lost Summer” photobook. Judges titled it “a great example, demonstrating the creative and process control that digital inkjet offers the commercial print industry”, recognising company’s commitment to innovation and print excellence.

Emmerson Press is a family-run printing company based in the UK, with trusted expertise in commercial printing. The company have always been at the very forefront of technological advancements, investing in the latest innovative equipment with an enviable courage. In 2016, they made history as the first company in the UK to install a Jet Press 720S, which they subsequently upgraded to the new Jet Press 750S.

“In September, the first month of operations, we ran 40% more sheets, which is a testament to the increased speed and productivity,”

Both machines empowered Emmerson Press to consistently produce high-quality photobooks which have already gained recognition at various prestigious events. For instance, in 2019, the company produced a high quality hardcover book to accompany the “Roses” photo project made by famous British fashion photographer Nick Knight, who also created advertising campaigns for Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein. All the pictures were printed on the Jet Press 720S, making use of its exceptional print quality and extensive colour functionality. One more famous project rose up in 2020-2021, when Emmerson Press supported the launch of the luxury magazine Soul Kind, printed on the Jet Press 750S. The new machine allowed them to benefit from getting ultrahigh quality for the short-run creative content.

This year marked another milestone for Emmerson Press as they became the first company in the UK to invest in our Apeos Pro C810 toner press, reaffirming their commitment to staying ahead in the commercial printing industry.

Notably, company’s success at the Digital Printer Awards 2023 made their debut at the competition and also gave a great platform to showcase their fascinating work. Our partnership is a story of sharing challenges and success, providing continuous support whenever its needed. We are proud to be their partners and are looking forward to new achievements!
