100 Days in our new FUJIFILM Europe HQ

Wow! Can someone please pinch us? How can it be that 100 days have already passed since we left our headquarters at Heesenstraße Düsseldorf, Germany and moved to our brand new and more sustainable HQ in Ratingen, Germany?

Everything started back in 2021 with the groundbreaking on the new site in Ratingen. Ever since, the construction work of our new building was in full swing, leading to some busy weeks and month for our project team. Facing delays and delivery difficulties due to the ongoing pandemic, postponing the actual moving date from our old building to the new one over and over again accordingly, were just some of the main issues they had to face. Nonetheless, in the end everything turned out awesome, and our new European Headquarters was inaugurated with great expectation and anticipation from employees and also from the public.

After facing a few delays regarding construction works and delivery, we had to postpone our office move quite sometimes. We have actually planned to move to Rating at the end of 2021, then had to move it to the beginning of 2022 and finally, have been able to settle in at the beginning of April 2022. First, only internally, because some construction work is still in progress. However, on June 12, we finally had the honor of showing the world our new office in person at the official inauguration. Teiichi Goto, President and CEO of FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation, Mona Neubaur, Deputy Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Mayor Klaus Pesch, City of Ratingen, were our three special guests who could not miss this special event.

The official opening of our new European HQ also market the opening of our brand new Open Innovation Hub and our showrooms. They feature our newest technologies and systems while giving everyone internally but also externally the chance to visit and get an insight into our ongoing research and development processes.

Our new Office Building in Ratingen has a lot to offer and if you want to visit our OIH or any of our showrooms, just sign up for one of our open tours.

A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in the process of planning, constructing, documenting and realizing this ginormous project! Without these ambitious and hardworking people this would not have been possible. Now it is time to enjoy our new HOME.
